Heroes Cookoff Rules:
The Heroes cookoff is open to any member of a Fire, Police, EMS, Medical, or educational organization in the Merrimack Valley.
1: We do not specify ingredients for this cookoff. Please indicate if there are any ingredients such as nuts which might cause an allergic reaction.
2: You must cook a MINIMUM of THREE gallons of chili. We encourage you to cook more.
3: A minimum of 2 adult team members per chili entry. A maximum of 3 adults per team. One of whom will be designated as Chief Cook. At least 2 of the adults must be members of one of the heroes divisions.
4a: Chili may be prepared OFF site, delivered and served hot. Teams must provide a steam table or other device to maintain the temperature of the chili. Teams must provide a fire extinguisher if there are any open flames.
4b: Chili may also be prepared ON site. Each team must supply all cooking equipment and supplies, including a fire extinguisher if there are open flames.
5: Chili must be ready to serve at 12:00 noon.
6: Chili will be served to the public in 2 oz. cups (provided).
7: Public voting will end at 4:00pm and winners will announced at 4:30pm.
8: Your entry form and Indemnity Agreement must be received by May 27th, 2008. See the registration page.
9: All teams MUST abide by the health and food safety rules provided once you register.
10: All teams must PROMISE TO HAVE FUN.
